The 7th International Workshop on Sustainable Road Freight will be held in Cape Town on 28th-29th October 2020.
This year the workshop will focus on transition pathways to low carbon road freight transport systems in developing countries. We are delighted that David Cebon, Cambridge University – United Kingdom; Alan McKinnon, Kühne Logistics University – Germany; G Raghuram, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore; Boyong Wang, Smart Freight Centre China; have agreed to deliver keynote addresses at the workshop. Other speakers TBC.
We invite presentations on ways to improve the sustainability of freight transport, including, but not limited to:
* Climate justice
* Infrastructure for low carbon freight transport systems
* Mode choice and multimodal freight networks
* Local, national and international policy initiatives to facilitate the transition to low carbon road freight transport systems
* Compliance and welfare
* Affordability of low carbon emission strategies, financing models and green freight investment decision making
* Low carbon supply chain system redesign
* Low carbon fuel options for local, regional and long-haul freight transport
* Technology improvements for low carbon freight transport technologies
