Due to a last minute cancellation, we are now offering one more GCT PhD Scholarship to attend the 'Global Challenges in Transport : Smart Technologies' course (17-20 March 2020).
The scholarship constitutes a unique opportunity for exceptional PhD candidates to be part of the Global Challenges in Transport Oxford Leadership programme delivered by the Transport Studies Unit, University of Oxford, for a highly reduced fare. The programme attracts each year transport academics and professionals from several different countries that meet in the pleasant surroundings of Kellogg College to discuss the challenges of developing more sustainable transport systems with the support of world leading academics and practitioners.
The Smart Technologies 2020 course covers offers the latest thinking on the potential implications of the introduction of new and smart technologies for the future of transport and mobility.
The core sessions of the course cover key topics including:
* Transition to electric mobility;
* Shared mobility and mobility as a service;
* The future of vehicle automation;
* Governing transport in the smart city.
Our speakers will include Professor Tim Schwanen (University of Oxford), Dr Debbie Hopkins (University of Oxford), Professor Graham Parkhurst (UWE Bristol), Professor Glenn Lyons (UWE Bristol), Dr William McNeill (University of Southampton), Dr Anna Nikolaeva (University of Amsterdam) and many others.
