Hi there,
I'm an artist getting to grips with SPM12 as part of a project exploring the potential for neuorimaging data to be used in creative outlets. I am attempting to work with UCL's publicly available multi-modal datasets (https://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/data/) and am running into trouble in the functional differences between SPM12 and SPM8.
Specifically, the SPM8 Manual contains step by step instructions on how to work with this data (https://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/doc/spm8_manual.pdf#Chap:data:multimodal), but its instructions are not applicable to SPM12, whose preprocessing GUI functions have been removed.
To remedy this, I have tried to install SPM8 and compile its MEX files (which is necessary through Mac OS using Xcode), but despite following all publicly available instructions I have been unsuccessful. Instead, I found in the SPM12 release notes that it is possible to recall SPM8 scripts using the History2script functionality, but as of yet I cannot find an explanation of how to do this (despite consulting the SPM8 manual).
In short, my question is: are there any available resources which explain how to work with SPM/UCL's public data in SPM12? And if not, is there a straightforward way to recall SPM8's scripts within SPM12?
Any correspondence in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
