Dear Colleagues
We require a motivated scientist to join the team in the development of the 2DIR capability, spectrometer design, data acquisition and analytical methodologies and to take a lead in its application to drug binding. The project is a collaboration between the Rosalind Franklin Institute (the Franklin), The Central Laser Facility (CLF) and Imperial College (IC). The aim is to develop and apply ultrafast EVV (electron vibrational vibrational) 2DIR spectroscopic techniques to elucidate drug/protein structural interactions.
Good communication, writing and administrative skills are required as the job holder will coordinate the team on experiments, research direction, planning, project deliverables, timetables, costs, safety and in scientific and report writing. They will work closely with a second PDRA who will develop calculation tools for data interpretation. The post offers appropriate training and development.
The successful candidates will work with scientists in the CLF’s ULTRA facility at Harwell and with Professor David Klug’s group at Imperial College.
Job advert and application details can be found below.
