Hi all
Our library service has raised an issue with me this week. When they have events with children they take photographs to use in publicity. They gather consent forms from parents to use their child's image in this way and wanted to know how long they needed to keep the form for. In particular, they raised the issue of the images being used on social media, where the posts can exist forever and asked if this meant they'd need to keep the consent form forever as well?
I was wondering how others approach this issue of images posted on social media or if there is any good guidance about this available anywhere as I haven't been able to find any?
Many thanks for your help!
