There's a new opportunity to manage communications for the International Centre for Eye Health (ICEH) at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. ICEH are seeking a creative and passionate expert to develop and deliver their communications activities in line with ICEH vision and values. The role would incorporate the communication activities of programmes such as the Commonwealth Eye Health Consortium (CEHC) and the Community Eye Health Journal (CEHJ) including the recently launched CEHJ App.
The Centre has an international profile in the field of global eye health, through research, educational and capacity development activities. This role would be key in strengthening internal and external communications around ICEH work and related activities therefore is considered very important in the overall strategy for the coming years.
The role is based in a Faculty rather than within the central Communicaions & Engagement department. Reporting to the ICEH Operations Manager and accountable to Professor Matthew Burton, ICEH Director, main responsibilities will include developing and implementing communications strategies; redeveloping the ICEH brand; managing websites; producing and managing social media content; developing policy briefs; producing e-newsletters; writing and designing reports and working with the Press Office on media activity.
