Thanks, Bill. I gradually felt that my 2 versions of the opening stanza were finished enough to stand on their own as at least documents of the "Snapshot Project" within the POETRYETC archive. When I watch "The Great Beauty" again, I'll start afresh, perhaps even risking a diastic as well as an acrostic sonnet--considering the additional option of a DVD at hand. This past Friday during an open studio & art opening for about 75 artists, a Peruvian visual artist whose first name Paola "rhymes" with the director's name surprised me by snapping perhaps 40 photos of my act of writing in one of her artist's journals about my process composing this cine-poetic snap, a pose she subtly "staged" from which she intends to paint a portrait.
