“Societal challenges and the Arts: Critique, Impacts and sustainability in/of interdisciplinary music studies”



Dear Researchers and Candidates,



We are delighted to announce the GRS Spring Seminar 2020 which will run from June 16th-19th 2020. The event is organized by the Grieg Research School in Interdisciplinary Music Studies and will take place at the Ole Bull Academy in Voss (Tuesday - Thursday) and at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Music and Design, KMD (Friday) in Bergen and in collaboration with the “Last Chapter: A Late Life Festival”.



INVITATION

We seek participation from any active researchers and musicians, particularly those working in fields such as musicology, music education, music therapy and artistic research.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We welcome abstracts, maximum of 350 words, for individual paper presentations of 20 minutes, and lecture recitals or workshops of 35 minutes. We encourage participants to take contact with us to suggest a wider range of contribution genres than listed here to accommodate innovative and/or genre-specific engagement with the research work to be presented.



The deadline to submit an abstract for approval is May 1st 2020.
