I am a BA Archaeology Student at Cardiff University. I am currently doing my dissertation on Outreach Archaeology. The aim of my dissertation is to figure out why researchers do Archaeological outreach. My main aim for the project is: To understand the motives and rewards behind archaeological outreach. in order to figure out why research may choose to do archaeological outreach, I have created a survey which I invite you to take part in.
If you would like to take part in the survey then please follow the link below. Before you fill out the survey please take a look at the potential participant information as shown below.

The Potential Participant information
I invite you to participate in a research project that explores outreach in archaeology.
This information sheet has been written to help you decide if you would like to take part. It is up to you and you alone whether you wish to take part. If you do decide to take part you will be free to withdraw at any time without providing a reason, and with no negative consequences.
By completing the online questionnaire (by pressing done), you have given your consent for your data to be used for the research.
This research is based around a questionnaire of 10 questions that takes around 4-6 minutes to complete depending on how much detail you wish to provide. The questions are about outreach projects and what your motivations are for participating in them. The data will be analysed and then published in my undergraduate dissertation at Cardiff University.
Your data will be stored in an ANONYMISED form, which means that parts of your data will be edited or deleted so that no-one, including the researchers, could use any reasonably available means to identify you from the data. There is however an opportunity to leave your email which allows for the potential of a follow-up study, however, this is optional and your details will be removed from any subsequent information.
If shared (published and/or placed in a database accessible by others), all relevant aspects of your data will be in an ANONYMISED form, which means that no-one could use any reasonably available means to identify you (or the topic of your comments) from the data.
What should I do if I have concerns about this study?
In the first instance, you are encouraged to raise your concerns with myself, the researcher. However, if you do not feel comfortable doing so, then you should contact my Supervisor or School Ethics Contact (contact details below). A full outline of the procedures governed by the University Teaching and Research Ethics Committee is available at https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/history-archaeology-religion/research/research-ethics
