The Refugee Law Initiative (RLI) continues its 10th International Refugee Law Seminar Series, held jointly with UNHCR, with two events in February:
Easing Pressure: Uganda and the Global Compact on Refugees
Julius Peter Moto, The High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to the United Kingdom and Ireland
10 February 2020, 6pm | Room G35, Senate House
Solutions and the Global Compact on Refugees - A Long Road ‘Home’
Geoff Gilbert, Professor of Law, University of Essex
25 February 2020, 6pm | Room G22, Senate House
This series explores the future of refugee protection in a global community. It frames those discussions within the current 'blueprint' of the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR). Bringing together a range of speakers from academic, policy and lived experience, the series presents varied perspectives on the development of refugee protection and promote the visibility of, and engagement with, the GCR within UK academic and public audiences.
All seminars are free and open to the public. Registration is available through our website https://rli.sas.ac.uk/events
Best wishes,
