Hi Martin
Interesting - we saw it demonstrated recently at a technology workshop where it was being used with what looked like the microphone from a pair of in ear headphones, and it worked flawlessly. In fact we were all quite astounded at how much better it was than Dragon, and the old enhanced dictation. Particularly using the "Show Grid" command for pin point clicking and voice dragging - which was incredible.
This was a headset plugged into a MacBook - he also had an iPad which VC worked equally well on, and he didn't bother with an external mic for that. Have you tried an iPad?
Thanks

Subject: Apple Voice Control
Hello,
Has anyone had any experience of using Apple Voice Control in macOS Catalina?
I've tried it recently on a couple of different MacBook Pros (one from 2013 and another new one from 2019) and it seems to be rather unresponsive when dictating text in either Word or Pages.
Sometimes it will completely ignore what I say. I've tried different headsets and used the built in microphone on the Macs.
I wondered if anyone had encountered the same thing?
The old Enhanced Dictation used to work quite well, especially as it worked offline.
Any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome.
Thanks,
Martyn.
