Archive & Library Artist Residency 2020
Residency Dates: 13 April – 15 June 2020
Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) are now accepting applications from UK-based contemporary artists and practitioners for a fully funded, 10-week residency in CFCCA’s purpose-built artist studio in Manchester city centre, working with our Archive and Library collection.
The aim of the residency is to support an artist intending to directly engage with the archival material in our collection. Exploring our Archive provides artists with the opportunity to expand your research and practice, or feed into an existing interest in archives.
The CFCCA Archive contains films, images, promotional and other archival materials relating to CFCCA’s history spanning over three decades of working with exceptional artists from Samson Young to Cao Fei. In addition the Library houses an extensive collection of books and resources useful to anyone interested in discovering more about Chinese contemporary art and visual culture.
