The Oxford Vaccine Group is based within the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Oxford and carries out research of major national and international importance in the field of infection and immunology.
We seek a self-motived junior statistician to work on data analysis from clinical observational studies and national/international clinical trials of vaccines and infectious diseases. The postholder will contribute to the analysis of data from clinical trials and observational studies. This will include contributing to the development of data collection forms, conducting detailed analysis of data from clinical trials or observational studies, and contribute to protocol development and ethics committee submissions.
To succeed in this post you will hold a degree in a relevant subject and a postgraduate degree in statistics, or a related subject and have excellent communication skills and a commitment to producing accurate and appropriate analyses in a timely fashion. Strong analytical skills, an enquiring and flexible attitude, and an interest in working collaboratively with researchers from different disciplines will also be important components for success.
This is a full-time post located at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine at Churchill Hospital, Oxford OX3 7LE and is offered for 2 years in the first instance.
