Do you work with rare books or manuscripts?
Here is a quick survey from your colleagues who compile and maintain the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section (RBMS) vocabularies.
Does your institution support research on watermarks or typography,
physical or digital?
Do you describe typography or watermarks in your
catalog?
If so, RBMS’s Controlled Vocabularies Editorial Group (CVEG) asks
for your participation in a short survey regarding whether you describe
these features of a resource, how you do and want to record them, and where
controlled vocabularies, most specifically, RBMS thesauri have or might fit
into your practice: https://forms.gle/ysPZaA85kA7E56rQ8
Please feel free to share this call for participants on specialized lists
we may not be on or with colleagues to whom you know typography or
watermarks are important.
Your information will help CVEG to formulate data-driven
approaches to term creation and streamlining in these areas.
We would appreciate your participation no later than February 28, 2020.
Thank you in advance for your help and participation! Please do not
hesitate to be in touch if you have questions.
