Dear colleagues,
We have a great opportunity to perform research with Yvonne Rogers
from UCL at the University of Bremen. Yvonne just took over an
Excellence Chair. The ‘U Bremen Excellence Chairs’ program is a new
initiative at University of Bremen since 2019. It enables
internationally outstanding researchers to establish their own working
groups at the university and to integrate them into a network of
excellent research institutions worldwide in their respective
disciplines.

We offer great opportunities to conduct research in a vibrant and
interdisciplinary environment. Candidates should be keen on bridging
disciplines from digital media, HCI, cognitive systems, robotics and
AI. It is a plus if the candidates are familiar with the challenges of
medical computing, education, and interactive systems. Currently, we
are looking for a PhD student as well as a Postdoc to the group with
Yvonne Rogers in Bremen, Germany.
We will explore how personal data when combined with AI techniques can
be used, from a human-centered perspective, to improve the quality of
healthcare. Areas of healthcare that can benefit from this synergy
include clinical decision support, disease surveillance, and
population health management. Our goal is to make health data more
accessible, by developing a natural form of data-interaction, and
amplifying human cognition to enable clinicians to make better
decisions.
Please let me know if you have any questions, or apply directly via
the links! Sorry for cross-posting and thanks for forwarding to
relevant candidates!
Best
