Hi Theresa
The majority of our Pregnancy tests are performed to rule out Pregnancy before treatment/procedures and it is Trust policy to perform Pregnancy tests on all women of childbearing age before surgery.
Kind Regards
Sharon

Subject: Pregnancy tests
Hi All,
Happy New Year.
Can I ask everyone about the use of the urine pregnancy test on asymptomatic patients, with no history suggestive of pregnancy? Do you run the test on these patients?
We routinely run them on women between certain ages before they have x-rays, procedures etc. However our supplier wants to discuss the use of the test in these patients.
Would be interested in your use of the test before we have the discussion with them.
Thanks,
Theresa
