Hi
The managers of JiscMail have been in touch with me, in my role as UTSG List Manager, to request that I circulate a message to the list, requesting your feedback.
I copy below extracts from the message I received, providing the link to the feedback survey, and some words of explanation about its aims. I hope you'll be able to take a few minutes to complete the survey and provide some feedback.
Best wishes
Bryan
-----------------------------
In all of the years I’ve been involved in JiscMail (since 2012) we’ve never surveyed subscribers or list owners to find out what impact (JiscMail) mailing lists are having on individuals and their career/role/field of expertise, so I’ve decided that it’s about time we did! I’ve been working with colleagues in Jisc to create a subscriber feedback survey that we’d like you to circulate to your mailing lists. The purpose of the survey is to understand what subscribers (including yourselves) think of the service overall, what they get from (JiscMail) mailing lists subscriptions, and to invite them to share their story about a message/discussion that’s had an impact. JiscMail is a free service, so we need to make sure that we’re meeting the needs of the sectors we support.
To circulate the survey, simply post a message to your mailing list(s) when convenient, and share this survey link: https://jisc.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/jiscmail-survey-2019
Please use any content from this email to explain what we’re doing and why we’re doing it.
The survey is open until 31 December 2019
What will happen to the responses?
• The overall results (anonymised) will be shared with you via OWNERS-ANNOUNCE • The findings on value and impact and satisfaction will be used in internal reporting, we need to demonstrate how the service impacts on the sectors Jisc supports, and beyond (we know some JiscMail mailing lists have an international reach!) • We may wish to your quotes for marketing purposes and we seek permission before we publish anything...
