Subject: upcoming International Mining History Congress
Dear colleague
This email is to provide you with further news of the upcoming International Mining History Congress, which will be held at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, from Thursday, 18 June through to Monday, 22 June 2020.
As planning for the Congress continues, I wanted to remind you of the upcoming deadline – 31 January 2020 – for both individual papers as well as panel sessions. (My thanks to those who have already submitted proposals.) As with past Congresses, we welcome papers on a wide range of topics relating to mining and mining heritage.
My email of 10 October noted an unfortunate delay in getting the Congress website up and running. I am happy to report that the website is finally functional @ http://imhc2020sudbury.com/2020/en/ although some details are in the process of being added.
One such detail that needs to be improved is the “Submit Abstract” tab. Until it becomes fully functional, I would ask that you submit proposals for papers and panel sessions directly to me.
In addition to a one-page abstract, please include your name (or names, if more than one person is author), your email, phone number, and any formal institutional affiliation.
Many thanks, and I hope to see you in Sudbury!
With best wishes
