A reminder that the deadline for submitting proposals to the next Screen Studies Conference is Sunday 5 January 2020.
The 30th International Screen Studies Conference, organised by the journal Screen, will be held in Glasgow from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2020.
The editors welcome proposals for single papers, audiovisual essays and pre-constituted panels on all topics in screen studies. They are also keen to encourage contributors to a programming strand which will focus on the impact that recent calls to decolonise, de-centre, or de-Westernise established creative canons and intellectual approaches across academia and beyond have on the practices of and ideas in screen-based media.
Our confirmed keynote speakers to date are Professor Ravi Vasudevan<https://www.csds.in/ravi_vasudevan> (Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Delhi) and Professor Sarita Malik<https://www.brunel.ac.uk/people/sarita-malik> (Brunel University London).
