Hi Everyone
Thank you to everyone who responded to my query about date labels, here is an overview of the replies I received:
• Ownership labels showing address and contact details - take less space than the old date labels
• Kept bookplate – got rid of date labels, because of self-issue, and dynamic loans
• Accession stamp to denote ownership – majority self-issue no comments about the change
• Stopped adding date labels when reduced loan types, and introduced automatic renewals, kept library ownership label, didn’t remove old labels
• Reduced size date labels, with location – almost fully self-service – ink edges of pages
• Continued date labels until ran out – only one library
So in a nutshell it looks like people are moving away from date labels, but still had evidence of ownership, and it seemed that customers were ok with this.
Happy Holidays Everyone!
