1. Student Bursaries: Deadline extended to 22nd November 2019
MSG offers generous student bursaries TWICE a year to help students to attend conferences and workshops.
The next deadline for bursary applications are 22nd November 2019 and 7th February 2020.
Bursaries :
Are open to any postgraduate student studying at a UK or Ireland university.
Only cover conferences and workshops, they do not cover fieldwork costs.
Will only be awarded to applicants who have attended an annual Research in Progress meeting.

2. Barrow Award: deadline for nominations 1st December 2019
“The Barrow Award will be awarded annually to a scientist who has made an outstanding contribution to metamorphic studies. Publications, teaching, outreach and other activities leading to the promotion of metamorphic geology, in the broadest sense, will be taken into account in making the award. Nominees do not have to be Members of the Mineralogical Society, Fellows of the Geological Society of London or nationals of Great Britain and Ireland. The award is open to a scientist at any stage of their career (early, mid or late).”
