Hi All,
If you or any of your PGR students would be interested in joining the Screenworks Editorial Team then please remind them that the deadline for expressions of interest is today!

This is what we're after:

Screenworks Editorial Opportunities

Two exciting new posts, ideal for a media practice postgraduate interested in developing editorial skills and an understanding of the academic publishing process, with Screenworks, the peer-reviewed online journal of Screen Media Practice Research.

1. Editorial Support Assistant
You will be responsible for the smooth-running of the editorial process, including: attending quarterly editorial meetings (via Skype as needed); scheduling meetings with the team (using e.g. Doodle Poll); taking minutes at meetings; maintaining our Editorial back-end and liaising with the editorial team, contributors and reviewers. You will also be responsible for maintaining publication workflow, including proofing webpages, making corrections and formatting. Knowledge of WordPress, GoogleDrive, Online Calendar, Skype, essential.

2. Social Media Manager
This role will be to manage our online presence and develop our audiences on Facebook, Twitter, Jiscmail and other other industry relevant platforms. This may also include content management and upgrading / maintaining of website. You will be savvy and media literate and engaged with the milieu of media practice and active on social media in your own right. Good understanding of WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, and scheduling software such as Tweetdeck and Crowdfire.

We would consider one applicant combining both roles if you have the required skillset. We invite applications via a one-page Expression of Interest outlining your interest in the role/s, your relevant experience and your connection to practice-research. Please clearly indicate which role/s you are interested in.

Please email: [log in to unmask] with “Editorial Opportunities” in the subject.

Deadline: 1 November 2019.

You will be joining the Screenworks editorial team: Editor in Chief Charlotte Crofts (UWE), Elan Gamaker (Roehampton) and Alex Nevill (San Francisco State). Like all of the editorial team, these are unpaid roles.

Screenworks is supported by the Moving Image Research Group and the Digital Cultures Research Centre at the University of the West of England, UWE Bristol.
