Location: Epidemiology Research Unit, CSI Holdsworth Memorial Hospital, Mysore, India
A research organisation involved in conducting prospective studies starting from before conception and going into adult age (life course approach) seeks an enthusiastic and motivated research oriented biostatistician who will be working as a member of a team of researchers, clinicians and academics responsible for conducting epidemiological and public health research studies.
Primary responsibilities:
• Develop statistical methods for analysis of long term follow-up of cohorts and interventional studies
• Validation and analysis of data
• Contribute to writing research papers
• Train junior statisticians and other members of staff.
Person specifications:
• MSc/PhD in Biostatistics or equivalent field
• Experience of working with large prospective cohort studies; experience in interventional studies will be desirable
• Organised, confident, and driven personality with the ability to work independently as well as lead others when required
• Good interpersonal and team working skills
• Proficiency in the use of statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R)
• Research publications preferred
