Dear Amy,
I am not a user of this toolbox either but it seems that Jacek is right
and a fix might well be to edit adaptative_threshold.m at line 173 and
replace:
[SPM_path 'SPM.mat']
with
fullfile(SPM_path,'SPM.mat')
