We now have a venue and a programme for this event.

The book itself is internationally famous, and has been translated into Chinese.  By holding the launch at Sunderland, we will be able to draw attention to the gender and sexuality studies we do here.  This book is also timely as, in the 21 years since the first edition, there have been enormous changes in gender and sexuality studies.   To this end, Mary will be talking about some of these changes and how they are reflected in her book, particularly with reference to cyberhate.  Drew is going to talk about sexuality and how this has changed in the last 21 years, and I'll talk about developments in masculinites.
