Bursary for Research(er) Workflows conference
Research(er) Workflows in the Real World is a one day conference on Monday 9th December aimed at library and other professionals who support the research lifecycle. Research workflows are big business, in terms of both activity and income for publishers, and the last few years have seen the launch of new products as well as merger / acquisition activity for existing products. This event will cover a number of types of research workflow support tools, the characteristics of these tools, and the role of staff in advising and signposting researchers to appropriate tools. The full programme is included below.
The event is jointly organised by two Cilip special interest groups ARLG and MmIT, and the venue is the British Library Conference Centre, St Pancras, London.
ARLG / MmIT would like to offer a bursary to cover the conference fee for someone who might otherwise be unable to attend; application is open to members of Cilip. Please note that we are unable to meet the cost of travel. To apply, email [log in to unmask] by 14th November providing a paragraph (up to 300 words) on how you think attending this event will benefit your career path. In return, we will ask the successful applicant to produce a short report giving their impressions of the event, which may become the basis for a blog post.
