Hi all,
we will run a CIL training on the 24th. Possibly we'll use an Azure machine.
Our aim is to test our material + the tools.
If you think that's interesting I'll send the invite to the list.
Edo

Dear Kris,
Yes, indeed we had to downgrade CUDA drivers to make both gadgetron and CIL work. This was related to a missing function in new CUDA release, so it was not Azure specific. I created an issue, but I cannot assign it to anyone. Edo, can you help me with this?
We are preparing notebooks for the training, unfortunately we didn’t have time to play with the Azure instances.
Cheers,
evelina

Subject: azure and GPU
Dear Evelina
Ben’s revising the Azure things currently to make it easier for deployment and reducing overlap between his code and the VM scripts (i.e. just reusing the latter)
Could you please ASAP create an issue in the SIRF-SuperBuild with your efforts on getting it to build on Azure? I guess it’s really on 18.04 LTS, not much Azure specific? I recall you had to choose a specific version of cuda drivers etc for Gadgetron. Could you clarify if that was ok for other things as well, in particular CIL, but I guess also TensorFlow (although we’re not going to use that now).
It’d help if you’d update us on how far you got with all this as well (i.e. did you guys play around with the Azure instances, or created new ones, got your head around Terraform…).
Thanks a lot
Kris
