Job Summary
East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust has recently completed a transformation of Cultural Services, which provides libraries, heritage and arts services within East Dunbartonshire. At this exciting time we are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and talented individual to take on the role of Cultural Services Manager.
In this role you will have principal responsibility for managing our Libraries, Heritage and Arts service; including 8 libraries, Kirkintilloch Town Hall, Auld Kirk Museum, Lillie Art Gallery, Archives & Local Studies service and the arts service. You will continue to develop a holistic, varied and innovative service that enriches our local area, our communities and residents’ lives, increasing cultural opportunities.
You will ensure the delivery of the Council’s strategic aims and objectives, working closely with partners from across the district to achieve this. You will have a proven track record of delivering service improvements in addition to effective project management skills and the ability to deliver key projects across a range of situations. The successful candidate will need a thorough understanding of the legislative and key operational issues related to this post. As a member of Trust Management Team you will contribute to strategic and policy development and change management of library, heritage and arts services.
The ideal candidate will be able to passionately communicate their strategic approach to culture, demonstrate their ability to lead a team and work closely with partners in order to achieve shared ambitions.
Required Qualifications
You will be graduate calibre or have equivalent experience, and it is desirable to have a post-graduate qualification in a related discipline, membership of a relevant professional body and an advanced Health & Safety qualification.
