Hi Paul,
Thank you for this information. If you don't mind, I have a couple of other questions:
1) Is there a way we can force MELODIC to perform using the 'old' method without installing an old version of fsl?. From what I looked at, one of the main reasons there was a switch to MIGP was to optimize the process for large datasets. There are times that I am only concatenating 2 datasets and for these the optimization is not a huge concern for me. I also saw that MIGP was designed to better/more accurate because /m/ is not so constrained. From what I understand, For some of my analyses I don't think this will be a huge problem for me because of 1) concatenating very few scans (in this case, 2) and 2) when I am doing this, they are actually scans from the same subject (two resting state scans). Is this correct?
2) If MIGP is recommended even for the above case, will running a dual regression and averaging the time courses (and frequencies, if available) allow me to produce the same time and power plots that were generated from the older version? The time course information I was able to load into fsleyes is not super meaningful.
Thank you for your help,
Bethany
