The University of Michigan, School of Nursing (UMSN), Grants and Research Office seeks a Statistician Intermediate to work with the Applied Biostatistical Laboratory (ABL) in the School of Nursing as well as be part of the cross-site evaluation team that provides data management support and analysis for the evaluation plan involved in the Merck Foundation Alliance to promote patient centered cancer care. Duties will include selection and interpretation of statistical analyses, data management methods, consultation with sites to verify, correct and clarify data submission and research design.
The individual will assist in the design and implementation of complex statistical techniques and data processing systems to manipulate and analyze research data as well as to assist in the preparation of research papers for publication and presentation at conferences and workshops. The Statistician Intermediate will also help faculty members with preparation of research grant applications including conducting and writing up power analyses to determine the sample size and planning and writing up the analysis section of the application. The individual will also provide statistical instruction to faculty members as needed.
