Over the next couple of months, Jumping Rivers will be hosting numerous
public R training courses across the U.K
*October:*
*4th - Introduction to R (Edinburgh) *
*An introduction to fundamental R concepts that requires no previous
programming or statistics experience.*
*11th - Programming with R** (Edinburgh)* An introduction to programming
elements such as control flow and function writing in R.
*18th - Introduction to R** (Edinburgh)*
*An introduction to fundamental R concepts that requires no previous
programming or statistics experience.*
*25th - Mastering the Tidyverse** (Edinburgh)* The tidyverse is a coherent
system of packages for data manipulation, exploration and visualisation.
Learn how to manipulate data, reshape data and deal with dates and times
efficiently by looking at packages such as dplyr, tidyr and lubridate.
*November:*
*1st - Advanced Graphics with R (Edinburgh) *Moving on from R's base
graphics, consideration of how graphics are composed and the excellent
ggplot2 package.
*8th - Statistical Modelling with R** (Edinburgh)* Introduction to a number
of introductory statistical routines in the R programming language. Topics
covered include linear regression, hypothesis testing, clustering and
principal components analysis.
*December:*
*2nd - Rapid reporting for analysts** (Newcastle upon Tyne)* An
Introduction to R programming through to reporting in three days. By the
end of the course the individual should have already introduced some
automation and will be working towards automating all of their reports.
*12th - Advanced R Programming** (London)* This is a two-day intensive
course on advanced R programming. The training course will not only cover
advanced R programming techniques, such as S3/S4 objects, reference classes
and function closures, we will spend a significant time discussing why and
where these methods are used.
