Hi all,
As a warning to DPM sites, tickets about DPM updates/DOME migration will be coming shortly. We can discuss these things next week.
Have a good weekend all,
Matt

Subject: [Noc-managers] about DPM legacy mode deprecation and DOME
Dear NGI Managers,
I would like to provide an update about the SRM deprecation on DPM servers and migration to DOME.
By the end of next week we plan to release in UMD the latest DPM version (1.13) which has been tested by several sites and is considered quite good compared to the previous sites.
After that, we are going to open a ticket to the sites still running older DPM versions (the sites not followed-up by WLCG), in order to follow-up the migration. Briefly, we are going to ask the sites to:
1) Upgrade at least to 1.13 version
2) Enable DOME (with legacy mode still on)
3) Configure webdav (https) for ops VO and register the endpoint on GOCDB to enable the monitoring
4) Invite the users to use DOME (with gfal2 clients, https, gridftp, xrootd in case, etc,..) and stopping using SRM with lcg-utils
We will stress the attention on step 3 not to break the monitoring of the new implementation.
Besides, there are already sites running at least DPM 1.12 version: separately, with these sites we are going to check if DOME has been already enabled, asking to configure properly its monitoring.
Best regards,
Alessandro
