The Scottish Information Commissioner is recruiting for a new Head of Policy and Information.
It's a unique and exciting opportunity for someone with experience in public policy, communications and stakeholder engagement, and a strong commitment to transparency and access to information.
The Head of P&I leads a team of Freedom of Information Officers with responsibility for promoting and helping to enforce freedom of information and other access to information law in Scotland. As part of the Senior Management Team, the role involves working closely with the Commissioner and the rest of the close-knit team at SIC at our office in St Andrews on the east coast of Scotland.
The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, and the starting salary is £55,617. Applications on a job share basis are welcome and flexible working arrangements are available. Appointment of the selected candidate is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks (basic criminal records check, references and security clearance).
Please see www.itspublicknowledge.info/vacancies for details, and feel free to share with your colleagues and contacts. The closing date is noon on this Friday, 6th September 2019. Interviews (including an assessment exercise) will be held on Monday 23rd September and Tuesday 1st October.
