Hello,
I have a question about running negative contrasts with Flame 1+2. I have a contrast that I've run at the first level for all subjects, and at the higher level, I'd like to run the inverse in my group comparison.
With Flame 1, I get equivalent output in FEAT if I use negative regressors, but a positive contrast (method 1), or if I use positive regressors with a negative contrast (method 2).
Method 1:
EV1
s1. -1
s2. -1
s3. -1
s4. -1
contrast: Group mean 1
Method 2:
Method 1:
EV1
s1. 1
s2. 1
s3. 1
s4. 1
contrast: Group mean -1
However, in Flame1+2 the results differ slightly. Which approach is the valid one to use with Flame 1+2?
Thank you for the advice!
Anthony
