Hello, CRIT-GEO,
I have some vague memory of a discussion or discussions here about
videography, but I can't find anything in the archives (aside from
recent mentions of participatory video -- my interest is more on the
documentary angle).
So I thought I'd ask: Do folks have recommendations for examples of and
reading about videography as method in geographic/social sciences
inquiry, especially that dealing with rurality and place?
I'm interested in this broadly, but also have some special interest in
producing the kinds of media that might be stimulative in graduate
courses/seminars and welcome any suggestions -- especially on landscape
and (sense of) place in relation to audio-visual media, from really
basic technical advice to theoretical and methodological considerations.
Sort of starting from zero here with video and will be very grateful for
any kind nudge.
Regards and thanks,
R.
