The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has a vacancy for a Records Manager based at our records archive in Christchurch (Dorset). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in records management. The postholder will:
• Manage the ONS Christchurch store contents including storage and lifecycle management of records.
• Ensure an effective files service to ONS sites and other customers.
• Manage conditions in the store buildings and be responsible for reporting maintenance issues.
• Selection and transfer of digital and paper records to The National Archives.
• Work with the Records team to develop services and implement change.
• Line management and tasking of two administrative assistants.
• Work with the records team to ensure efficient and effective management and transfer of records.
• Respond to SharePoint enquiries as part of a support team.
• Provide back up support for training.
