*** Position in Statistics at ENSAI, France (1 year)
ENSAI, the French graduate-level engineering school specialized in Statistics, Data Science and Economics, located in the Rennes city area, is currently inviting applications for a position in Statistics, all levels. ENSAI is interested in candidates with a Ph.D. in Statistics or related fields. Applicants will have a demonstrated ability:
* to undertake original and outstanding research in a branch of Statistics complementing existing activity within Ensai's research laboratory CREST (Center for Research in Economics and Statistics);
* to teach Master level courses in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
Applications from suitable candidates in any area of Statistics will be welcome, but we would be particularly interested to hear from candidates with expertise in one or more topics in High-dimensional Statistics and Machine Learning.
The appointment can begin as soon as November, 2019. The offered contract is one year, possibly renewable. Salary is competitive according to qualifications. The teaching service is reduced compared to French universities standards. At the appointment fluency in French is not required.

Historically associated with INSEE (French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies), Ensai offers several Master-level specializations including Mathematical Statistics, Advanced Statistical Engineering, Biostatistics, Quantitative Marketing and Revenue Management, Risk Management and Financial Engineering, and Health Economics.
