EUROlinkCAT: Establishing a Linked European Cohort of Children with Congenital Anomalies
A statistician is needed to analyse the health of children with congenital anomalies. Twenty-two congenital anomaly registries in 14 European countries are linking their data to mortality, hospital discharge, prescription and educational databases. Each registry will perform standard analyses and meta-analytic techniques will investigate hypotheses at a European level.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Strong statistical/mathematical background
- Previous research related to medical statistics, epidemiology or a closely related discipline
- Experience in the analysis of large and/or longitudinal datasets
-Proficiency in using and programming mainstream statistical packages (e.g. Stata, SPSS, SAS or R)
- Ability to present research to a general scientific audience
- Enthusiasm for population-based research
- Flexible working, including part-time or reduced hours of work, opportunities to work from home for many posts, compressed hours and local flexibility in agreeing start and finish times of work are among the extra benefits offered by St George’s, University of London.
