Statistical Consultant - Statistical Services Unit, The University of

The Statistical Services Unit (SSU) invites applications to the position
of Statistical Consultant. The SSU is an established specialist advisory
unit within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, providing a
comprehensive consultancy service to both University clients and a
diverse range of external organisations. We work across many practical
settings (including the pharmaceutical industry, health and personal
care, life sciences, hospital trusts, dentistry, university policy, and
the rail industry) and offer our team a challenging opportunity to gain
a rare breadth of experience in the practical application of statistics.
We are looking for an enthusiastic statistician, who is passionate about
the practical application of statistics and adding value to projects
from concept to delivery, to help us deliver statistical support to an
exciting range of projects.
You will have a postgraduate qualification in statistics (or equivalent
experience), practical knowledge of statistical software packages,
excellent interpersonal skills, and an appreciation of the need for
commercial awareness.
