Hi Dave
It is a small bench top analyser. Our POCT lab is manned by an associate practitioner at the moment so clinicians don't actually run the samples. The XN450 was out of the recent UKAS 15189 but going forward with what we are planning to do we will be including the one we hope to get under 15189.
Kind regards

Hi Charlene
Thanks for the reply. You mention you have the larger Sysmex analyser. Is your point of care suite ran by POCT/lab staff or is it run solely by the Dr's/nurses on the ward?
Also is this a true point of care analyser or more of a 'bench top analyser' and if it is, is it subjected to UKAS 15189 accreditation under an extension to scope from the main laboratory?
Thanks
Dave
