The Office for National Statistics is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who can work with minimal supervision and guidance to develop our information management and records management processes and demonstrate compliance with the Public Records Act, the General Data Protection Regulation and the Freedom of Information Act.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide expert strategic and operational advice and guidance on information and records management, and work with staff within the organisation at all levels to embed best practice.
• Develop relationships and engage staff at all levels with the ONS Document and Records Management policy and ensure they fully understand their responsibilities through written guidance, training, and management of stakeholder networks.
• Work alongside the Data Protection Officer’s team to align best practice in information management with data protection legislation.
• As Deputy Departmental Records Officer, to oversee paper and digital records transfer to TNA, acting as the main point of contact with TNA and maintaining good working relationships with key teams.
• Management of a team of records and library staff to ensure that a high quality service is delivered to colleagues within the organisation and that professional standards are upheld.
• Management of the on-going use of the EDRMS, currently SharePoint 2013; development of digital records transfer processes from SharePoint to TNA; product owner for the SharePoint Document Management System and KIM lead for migration activity from SharePoint 2013.
