IFISC opens three PhD positions associated to the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence research program. The research program includes several lines but, in particular, the topics related to SIMSOC are:
- Urban systems, energy and mobility (data and theory)
- Epidemic spreading and complex contagion
- Evolutionary game theory
- Ecology of social interactions
- Stochastic systems, aging, noise, network co-evolution, delays in social systems (opinion dynamics, language competition, etc.)

Candidates interested in these or closely related topics could work IFISC with staff researchers: Pere Colet, Victor M. Eguiluz, Tobias Galla, Sandro Meloni, Jose Ramasco, Maxi San Miguel and Raul Toral. The PhD students can be co-advised by two senior researchers.

- Academic records (degree and master).
We offer 3-year contracts with a gross annual salary of 16415 €. The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish public health and social security system. The contracts have associated financial support for the participation in conferences and scientific meetings.
