During the morning session Susie Kay, Director of The Professionalism Group will look at this key area for LIS staff.
Session outcomes:

- personal organisation and why it is important
About Susie Kay
Susie is passionate about the benefits of professionalism for both individuals and their employing organisations. With a background as a Chartered Librarian, she worked for many years in senior management roles in professional associations, advising on all aspects of professional excellence and personal development, including the development of professional standards and robust governance arrangements. The Professionalism Group (www.theprofessionalismgroup.co.uk), her advice and consultancy organisation, now specialises in non-profit governance, professionalism and personal effectiveness.
Susie has a portfolio lifestyle, working as a consultant, mentor, speaker and writer and is the author of the very successful “Professionalism: the ABC for Success” and “How to Spot a Dinosaur: or How to Survive and Thrive in the Workplace” and her most recent book “The Jargon Buster”, clarifies all the terms used in the world of associations and membership organisations. She is a founding member of the Expert Board of The CPD Standards Office and the joint founder of The Society of Association and Membership Professionals (SAMP). She is a long-standing finals judge for the Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards and the judge for the Shining Star Business Awards.
Use your Professionalism to help with Co-Designing CILIP’s future
The afternoon will see Paul Caton, from CILIP Member Networks team, introducing the Co-Design and Collaborative Framework and how it can help us to really work together to identify a collaborative way forward. Paul will present CILIP’s plans to use co-design to change the way CILIP designs services for members and its development strategy from 2021.
The presentation will be followed by an interactive co-design workshop so you can find out how Co-Design works.
