Apologies for cross posting.

I do hope that you may be free to join in this night of film screenings where I shall be showcasing my latest film.

(Love your Love) Liminal Body (2019) Directed and Performed by Lee Campbell

Synopsis: As a gay man, I am fascinated by queer spaces/subcultures of conviviality which engage in processes of inclusion and exclusion. Certain subsets of gay subculture promote themselves as generating inclusive spaces whilst containing aspects that discriminate. I’ve been told I am too slim to be a bear and too fat to be a cub. My frustration with labelling has led me to resist such discrimination, and love my #body regardless of labels. This film is a celebration of loving your body in its label-less liminality.

MicroActs: 'Embrace Your Space' Edition

We are, once again, teaming up with cave, Pimlico to bring you this special edition of MicroActs, with a collection of short films focusing on themes around the body, challenging beauty standards & sharing stories about life in marginalised bodies. The concept of "Body Positivity" has flooded social & mainstream media, but what does it actually mean? We are showcasing this collection of short films that explore the journey of acceptance, critique the hierarchies of beauty aesthetics and discuss the intersectional nuances of what self-love can be.

...short stories...small rebellions...mini manifestos...personal fables...snippets of memory...

MicroActs is a program of short films, 6 minutes or less, exploring concentrated storytelling through moving image. From bold political expression to delicate personal memories to abstract experimental collages; MicroActs aims to create a thought-provoking, informative and diverse evening of film. Works can be narrative or non-linear, experimental or scripted, abstract emotions, comedy sketches, music videos, and more, MicroActs is looking for works that share politics, intersectional experiences and tell stories.

The aim of these events is to champion subjective & personal political moving image works, promote artist film in London, and create a community of artists & filmmakers sharing their works and supporting each other.
