Hello! I was hoping to get a bit of guidance to see if I am setting up my GLM correctly for looking at the main effect and interaction between two continuous EVs. I'll be using randomise to assess how these variables influence FA (processed through the TBSS pipeline).
I have just one group and one time point.
EV 1: Centered body mass score main effect
EV 2: Centered fitness score main effect
EV 3: EV1 * EV2 interaction
I set up the contrasts as such:
6 contrasts (no F-tests):
C1: 1 0 0
C2: -1 0 0
C3: 0 1 0
C4: 0 -1 0
C5: 0 0 1
C6: 0 0 -1
I feel like I am missing something here...any advise would be appreciated!
In addition, I also have a variation of this model in which I wanted to add age and gender as covariates. In that case:
EV 1: Centered age
EV 2: Gender (0 - male 1 - female)
EV 3: Centered body mass score main effect
EV 4: Centered fitness score main effect
EV 5: EV3 * EV4 interaction
6 contrasts (no F-tests):
C1: 0 0 1 0 0
C2: 0 0 -1 0 0
C3: 0 0 0 1 0
C4: 0 0 0 -1 0
C5: 0 0 0 0 1
C6: 0 0 0 0 -1
Thank you very much for the help!
