The task of the professorship is to adequately represent econometrics as
a branch of statistics, especially with a focus on data science and the
analysis of massive data, in research and teaching. With regard to the
teaching tasks, the aim is to ensure a committed participation in the
entire spectrum of courses for students of statistics as a main or minor
subject. The acquisition of third-party funding and cooperation in the
Statistical Consulting Laboratory are expressly desired.
Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral
degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at
university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and
promising research program.
