Research Fellow in Epidemiology / Statistics at UCL GOS Institute of Child Health
UCL Institute of Child Health
Grade 7
Salary (inclusive of London allowance): £35,328 - £39,353 per annum
Closing date: 6th August
This post offers an exciting opportunity to use linked longitudinal observational data from hospital, education and social care for the whole of England, to evaluate the real-world implementation of an early intervention for young families, called the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP). We seek an ambitious postdoctoral researcher with strong quantitative skills and experience in using administrative or cohort datasets for research. The successful applicant will take the lead on a NIHR funded study to generate evidence on the targeting and delivery of FNP, and the factors that influence effectiveness.
The Research Fellow will have excellent statistical or epidemiological skills and experience in handling large, longitudinal observational data. Knowledge of linkage methods, methods for handling missing data, and administrative data from at least one service sector (e.g. health, finance, education) is highly desirable. The post would be suitable for a postdoc quantitative researcher who wants to address the challenges of using linkage of large administrative datasets to inform policy, service development, improve services for mothers and their families.
This post is funded for 30 months in the first instance.
