Dear Colleagues,
With environmental concerns high on the public agenda has anyone adopted new practices to mitigate the environmental
footprint we leave behind?
And in particular one thing has been exercising my mind recently, and that is the use of plastic to protect our books.
Has anyone stopped using plastic book-jackets?
To what effect - have books deteriorated more quickly, or about the same?
Has anyone found and adopted an alternative?
And while book jackets can be removed before recycling the book, what about sticky plastic covering?
Has anyone stopped using this?
Thoughts and ideas would be welcome as we try to devise an environmental policy for ourselves.
