The Science Skills Academy will be hiring a team of five STEM Engagement Officers, in locations across the Highlands The first two posts will be based in Thurso and Fort William:
• One full-time role at the Thurso Newton Room, based at North Highland College, Thurso

The Science Skills Academy, a project led by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, working in partnership. The post holders will be employed by the Highland Council and will work as part of a multi-agency team.
About the roles:
• The Science Skills Academy are opening five Newton Rooms, well-equipped and inspirational STEM centres across the Highland Council region
• Each STEM Engagement Officer will be responsible for their local Newton Room and the timetable of activities taking place there
• Pupils in P6-S2 will visit the Newton Room to take part in hands-on STEM activities called Newton Modules
• Full training will be provided for each Newton Module with topics ranging from Robotics and Mathematics to Renewable Energy to the Lifecycle of Salmon
• We are looking for individuals who can bring the topics to life and contribute their own STEM experience.
