Hi Mark,
It's been a while since we did this, but you should be able to create a APEL service for your existing vac entry in the gocdb (vac.ph.bham.ac.uk (uk.ac.gridpp.vac), which would be the more correct way of doing things. I think it's still a bodge, but it's the correct bodge.
For example our old vac service:
https://goc.egi.eu/portal/index.php?Page_Type=Service&id=7550
Had this corresponding APEL service:
https://goc.egi.eu/portal/index.php?Page_Type=Service&id=8053
Please can someone yell if I'm talking rubbish though.
Cheers!
Matt

I've just re-added mine but the problem now is that I'll almost certainly start getting errors because there is a service listed in GOCDB that doesn't exist and isn't contactable. I don't suppose anyone has any thoughts about how to get around this or should I start knocking on the APEL people's door?
